John Coltrane was a jazz musician who revolutionised the genre with his approach to improvisation and composition. He is widely regarded as a master innovator, pushing boundaries and creating music that has had an immense impact on modern jazz culture. Born in Hamlet, North Carolina on September 23rd 1926, Coltrane began playing saxophone at age 16 and went on to become one of the most respected jazz musicians of all time.
