The Hollywood reporter just announced that Eat that Question Frank Zappa in his own words has been picked up by Sony Pictures Classic. Sony announced this ahead of the premier of the documentary at Sundance Film Festival.
I was lucky enough to be invited last year to an early version of the documentary by the Late, Great and Extra Lovely Gail Zappa. It was a beautiful and humbling experience to watch the documentary with Gail, Diva & Moon and see their reactions to Frank's extra sharp wit and humor. I remember the film maker Thorsten Schutte being a little nervous as this was the first time that Gail had seen footage and it was great to see those nerves lift and as the movie unfolded the room became full of laughter and reverence at FZ's lighting retorts.
This documentary not to be missed and has been put together impeccably. Make sure you check it out, everyone needs to listen to what Frank had to say.
I can't wait to see the finished film when it is released and would like to send my congratulations to Thorsten Schutte & The Zappa Family. I hope you are all smashing it up in Park City right now in celebration.
