In 1980 John Lennon picked up his guitar again and went into the studio. He felt refreshed and full of ideas, completely reinvigorated by the experiences of fatherhood and a 5 year break from the business.
He & Yoko Ono produced Double Fantasy, a concept album dealing with their relationship, and won a grammy for album of the Year. The name came from a flower. John Lennon started thinking about a world tour and commenced work on 'Milk & Honey' which was posthumously released in 1984.
The shirt John is wearing here is taken from an old Bra Advert from the late 50’s early 60’s the origins of which are unknown.
