Mick Ronson - Manny's Tee
This variant is currently sold out
Mick Ronson worked with some of the biggest names in the business, but it was through his collaboration with David Bowie that Ronson established himself as a musician and became a pioneer of the glam rock movement.
Mick began exploring music at an early age, studying the piano, violin and recorder. Ronson's original goal was to become a cellist, but after hearing Jeff Beck play, Mick picked up the guitar and began the journey to becoming one of Rolling Stone's 100 greatest guitar players of all time.
In 1966, Ronson was in a band called “The Rats”. They recorded for UK Decca and Oriole record labels. The band split in 69’. The next year David Bowie put together a band and recruited The Rats ex drummer John Cambridge. It was Cambridge who suggested his friend Ronson to Bowie as a potential band member. The band was called “Hype”.
Here Mick is shown wearing a Manny's T Shirt in 1984.
