In 1977 as a member of the all girl punkadelic band The Runaways. Joan Jett toured the USA with The Ramones. Chances are, while on the road, or maybe back home in L.A., Joan would’ve browsed the aisles of Peaches Records and Tapes. You could find almost any domestic release in the bins of this nationwide chain that, like The Runaways, got its start in the City of Angels. If Joan stopped by the Peaches Records and Tapes in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she couldn’t have missed seeing the souvenir handprints left by rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, and Wishbone Ash in concrete squares surrounding the store building, a la Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
