James Hunt
James Hunt lived fast and died young. He had a marked affinity for booze, smoke and women. He was the first to hit the disco and the last to leave the pub. He said "bullshit" while broadcasting live on the BBC. And most of all, he drove really hot cars really, really fast. James Hunt was most certainly a rock star, although his profession was Formula One race-car driver.
Long before the current generation of controversy-courting athletes was even born, James Hunt was shocking and titillating audiences worldwide. He got away with it, of course, because he was among the best of all time.
James cleaned up his act considerably and became a champion bird breeder prior to his 1993 death at age 45. He left behind an extraordinary racing legacy and countless memorable stories.
