John Lennon Working Class Hero Sweatshirt
This is the sweatshirt of our John Lennon Working Class Hero T-Shirt.
‘Working Class Hero’ was a scabrous and angry track from 1970's 'John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band' album, in which Lennon rants against his perceived betters
‘They hurt you at home and they hit you at school, They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool, Till you're so f-ing crazy you can't follow their rules, A working class hero is something to be.’
The picture was taken while John, Yoko Ono and their young son Sean were on holiday in Ono’s home country, Japan.
Yoko Ono had given birth to Sean on October 9, 1975, and the trio made repeated visits to Japan over the next few years. These trips were documented by Nishi Saimaru, who acted as the couple’s personal photographer and assistant.
Many of her pictures appear in ‘The John Lennon Family Album’, a collection of shots from Lennon’s ‘semi-retirement’ years.
Our Working Class Hero Sweatshirt is fully licensed, endorsed and made from the softest, prewashed and shrunk cotton jersey.
