Dee Dee Ramone (AKA Douglas Colvin) played bass guitar in the Ramones from their formation in 1974 to 1989. Dee Dee is also known for his distinctive count-in style, used to start off many of their songs.

In 1989 after leaving the Ramones, he started a brief career as rapper as "Dee Dee King" with the album Standing in the Spotlight.
